September Date Nights

Gosh, this has been an exciting month with moving out of my in-laws and into our NEW HOME! As I remembered our date nights for the month, we were really chill in September. We were so on the go every other night of the week with moving and getting settled in, our date nights revolved around relaxing. So, here we go!

September 7th: We had been busy packing boxes and walking up and down stairs, we decided to have a relaxing date night. We watched Seinfeld while we gave each other back massages. You can never go wrong with back massages! ;)

September 14th: We officially moved in our home on the 9th and on the 11th we were supposed to get internet. We haven't had cable in a couple years because we just use our Apple TV, so that was our plan at this house too. But, that means we need internet. Well, the guy came out to install it and realized that we are more than 300 feet from a box, we are more like 1,000 feet from a box so we have to get permits from Wagoner County to have another box installed. This could take months! So, we thought we were doomed in the TV department. Well, some family members told us about an antenna thing you can buy and at least get a couple local channels. So, that's what we did. We bought this antenna from Amazon. For date night, we got it all hooked up and enjoyed a relaxing night on the couch watching who knows what. But seriously, I don't remember what we watched. It was just nice to sit and relax since we had been on the go so much since moving in.

September 21st: We actually moved to the 22nd because we both had things come up in our schedule. I totally think it's okay to change the day once in awhile as long as both people are on board and you have a date you both agree on to change it to.
We built our new coffee cup holder. We knew we wanted to build this in this specific location so we planned not to have upper cabinets or anything here.

I absolutely love how it turned out! I do have to give a shout out to my friend Reagan and her awesome business Reagan Relics because that is who we got this idea from!! Thanks friend!

September 28th: We popped popcorn, ate ice cream, relaxed on our new couch while watching 50 First Dates. This is one of Trevor's favorite movies and a friend from church bought it for him. Thanks Alex!! We have probably seen this movie 50 times (see what I did there ;)) but, to be honest, I forgot about so many details. We had some good laughs for sure.

I am excited to see what October brings since we will be adding a new baby to the mix.

Maternity Pictures for Baby #2

I am now 37 & 1/2 weeks pregnant and it just dawned on me that I don't have many pictures of this pregnancy. Therefore, I should probably take a couple maternity pictures to document this time. Plus, I always like getting a couple family photos taken. ;)

Thank you to my sweet sister-in-law for capturing these photos for me! She's the BEST!

Since we are in the heart of football season, we had to deck out in our OSU gear!

Of course I had to include the one where Brooks is pulling my hair...which is a daily occurrence! WHYYY!

He has the BEST smile! ;)

He was not a fan of having to sit still to take a photo! Ha!

He won't get to sit on his brother too much longer.

I finally got a kiss!

Rhett Michael, we are ready for you sweet boy!!!!

Brooks's Room

We have officially been sleeping in our home for 11 nights now. Wahoo! It is wonderful! It is better than I could have dreamed of when we started this process. Life is just so sweet right now.

I'm having so much fun getting each room just the way I like it. I made the mistake in our last home to just fill the house. I wanted every room to be "done" so I bought things I didn't love and filled the house. About a year later I wanted to replace half the stuff I bought. This didn't go over well with my budgeter of a husband. So....I won't be making that mistake again. I'm taking my time and only decorating with what I love.

Everything takes just a little longer to accomplish when you have a toddler. I try to get a lot done when Trevor is at work, but some things I just need him for. That means I have to wait until he gets home from work, then we usually eat dinner, and then I want Trevor to get some quality time with Brooks; so most everything happens after Brooks goes to bed. By that time, I'm usually tired, so we can only accomplish a couple tasks a night. Haha! My first priority was to get Brooks's room totally set up. I wanted him to be comfortable and have a room that he loves. So, here are the pictures.

He LOVES playing in his teepee!

I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. It's one of my favorite rooms in the whole house and Brooks loves playing in there too. He has also slept like a champ in there every night. So, I'd say our mission was accomplished.

Brooks is 14 Months

This month has been so exciting with this sweet boy. He has mastered walking and we are on to running. The sweet sound of his feet running on the hard wood floor are so cute! It's so cool seeing him understand me. Like, when I say "let's go upstairs" he runs over to the bottom of the stairs and waits for me to move the gate. Or when I say "let's put on our shoes" he runs to where we normally sit to put on shoes before we walk out the door. It's the coolest! He also understands "no" but doesn't always obey that one! :) He is a banana fanatic! If he refuses to eat food, I know that I can pull out a banana and he will devour it in minutes. He also has a new found love for Macaroni (or most any pasta). Once he sees pasta he refuses to eat anything else. Ha!

This month we had an awesome trip to Michigan that you can read about here. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from the trip!

I feel like I took a ton of videos this month and not as many pictures. He was just so cute to video while he was walking and running all over the place.

Brooks and cousin Jude racing cars down the hallway. I know they will have a sweet friendship.

Hanging out at EspressOh! with friends!

This picture just cracks me up! His hair is getting so long and crazy, I love it! He really isn't a fan of bath time, so this is kind of a rare occasion for him to be chill in the bath. Haha.

This is pretty standard...Winston hiding and Brooks trying to get him.

Check out these sweet kicks!!! Our foot is finally the right size! Thanks David for these awesome shoes!

Brooks has decided he is over sitting in the cart the right way. This is kind of the new norm.

Melt my heart!!! 13 Months 18 Days
We had a fun evening with friends and all the babies were able to play.

Gosh they are so cute! If only Brooks would sit for 2 seconds to take a picture! Haha!

We are beginning to climb on e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g!!

And taking everything out of every drawer in the kitchen is pretty standard every day!

He's already enjoying playing in our new cabinets!

And helping mom with laundry is our new fav! Haha!

We have started skipping some naps some days which makes us super sleepy in the evenings, especially when we take a car ride. haha!

So precious!

He is obsessed with books...which is adorable.

We cheered on the Cowboys for their first game and first win!

:)
Each and every month brings new experiences and new surprises. He is seriously so much fun! I love getting to spend my days playing and teaching this little boy. I am having too much fun! I LOVE YOU BROOKS!
